Start Your Research With This Primer: Conspiracy Theory 101

Well, I certainly didn't plan to promote this here in such short order. Let me explain as briefly as possible.

This book was published first via Amazon for Kindle although you will find it in a myriad of other places too. Amazon has a program called Kindle Select that gives independent authors a couple options for promoting their books:
  • Kindle Countdown Deal - Starts at a discounted price and counts down until the price imcreases. Buyers get book at a discount
  • Free Book Promotion - Allows authors to offer book free for 5 out of every 90 days.
For 90 days, you agree to list your book exclusively on Amazon. The Kindle Select program renews automatically every 90 days. I have already distributed this book via other avenues which you're not supposed to do while enrolled in Kindle Select. My current 90 days is up on Jan. 31 of this year, so.......I'm going to offer it for free one last time...hence the early and blatant promotion here at TheyDoConspire.

It's a shameless plug where YOU are the beneficiary. Grab it FREE for a full 24 hours!

About the Book

Conspiracy Theory 101: A Researcher's Starting Point is meant to be just that...a starting point. I will be releasing more books as a sort of series that will cover a lot of  "conspiracy theory" type topics. This book is chock full of:
  • Some popular conspiracies like JFK, 911, and UFO's.
  • True conspiracies corroborated by declassified documents
  • Conspiracies from deeper in the community like Agenda 21, the Georgia Guidestones, and Benghazi
  • Some of the crazier conspiracies
  • 2 Appendices FULL of links to YouTube channels, websites, forums, and more to send you further on your journey
You can grab a sample to preview free from Amazon if you are reading this after the promotion. Click the cover image for a Look Inside. This title is also free through the Kindle Unlimited program.

Why Are You Attempting to Profit From the Conspiracy Community?

You may have read this post where I scoff at those who profit from conspiracy theories. I feel you. Let me break it down for you.

This book sells for 99 cents. The lowest price it can be listed for on Amazon. Yes, I know there are free books on Amazon, but an author cannot list their book for free. In order to have a title be free on Amazon, a couple things need to happen:
  • You can run a promotion through Kindle Select
  • After you list your book for the lowest price on Amazon, you can list it elsewhere for a lesser price or free. Amazon will eventually match the price
Of that 99-cent price tag, I receive a 35% royalty, which is 35 cents per copy. I've sold 200-300 copies. It won't let me do an all time overall view, so here's the last 90 days royalties:

The short answer to the question is: No, I am not attempting to profit from the conspiracy community.

About the Promotion

So, if you want to grab a copy of Conspiracy Theory 101: A Researcher's Starting Point FREE, get it at Amazon for a full 24 hours starting January 30, 2015 at 12:00AM and ending on January 31, 2015 at 12:00AM.

I will eventually make it free permanently when I come out with new titles in the series. I will also have it available here on this blog for free download. So, if you want to wait, I understand.

If you read it, I would love an honest review. Comments are always welcome as well. Cheers to your journey.

Conspiracy Theories for Profit

conspiracy theories for profit
Off the top of my head, I can name several big names in the conspiracy community who are making a lot of money touting conspiracy theories. Can you? The funny thing is that many of these same people use the "follow the money to find the root of the corruption" investigation model. Many of them probably started out just like me, wanting to spread the word rather than viewing things as a money-making endeavor. There is A LOT of money to be made in this niche.

Do You Profit From Conspiracy Theories?

"Profit" is a strong word. I have Adsense ads on this blog. Since it's sat largely not updated for 3 years (instead of the 2 previously stated yesterday), I have made $0 in revenue. Zip. Zilch.

I do have a book on conspiracy theories I published about a year ago in various locations online: Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Scribd, and a few others. That book sells for 99 cents, and I've sold a little over 200 copies at a 35% royalty...not even 50 cents per copy. If you want to call that profit, then I'm a blazing profiteer. I am rollin' in it! I will share the book here eventually, so I can get even more rich. /*sarcasm

How Do People Profit from Conspiracy Theories?

There are hundreds of ways, but I'll talk about the most obvious to me. Some people do it with a free blog like this one and advertising or soliciting donations. You will see ads here, and you might even see me promoting affiliate products here, but:
  1. I will ALWAYS be transparent about any revenue I make
  2. I will NEVER solicit donations here
That being said, I'm going to list some of the ways I've seen people profit from conspiracy theories:
  • TV Shows - I know you've seen them. They are largely bogus, scripted, and for ratings only
  • Websites - Whether it's a news hub, radio show, forums, or all of the above, these sites bring in a lot of money - sometimes millions
  • Gaining a Title - Some theorists manage to gain a title in the community like "whistleblower" or "former *insert alphabet government agency here* agent"
  • Authoring a Book - Many people will add a book to their resume of conspiracy appearances and properties. Most of them charge crazy amounts for said book
  • Advertising - This one fits into all of the above. There are methods to add ads to almost anything you do online or off. Some forms of advertising pay better than others

Sounds Like the Pot Calling the Kettle Black to Me

Fair enough, and good day. You may take your leave if you wish! If not, stay and troll away. It makes no difference to me. I'm gonna do what I'm gonna do here. I'm not looking for any affirmation except that which I find myself. That's what this is about...a truthseeker looking for the truth. Nothing else. If I happen to pull in a few pennies for my time, that's my business.

Why Conspiracy Theories as a Business Isn't Ideal

Once a person becomes motivated by these $$$ instead of this <3, everything goes to hell. FACT. There's a big message that needs to reach all of the people of this world, and it has NOTHING to do with "Give me a dollar first." It has to do with good overcoming evil. It's life or death. I will convey that message free of charge until my dying breath and long as these words remain. The main part of the message is Jesus Christ, but after that, there is more. After that, it's this:

Satan has control of this world. He is the "Prince of the Power of the Air"(Ephesians 2:2). The evil that controls everything behind the scenes is him and those who do his bidding. There is a strong Satanic and Luciferian faction controlling the world. Believe it, or don't, but file it in the back of your mind and remember when the sh*t hits the are not in control, the President is not in control, America is not in control, and nothing can save you but faith in God.

Jesus spoke his message freely. So will I.

You're Just a Bible-Thumping Jesus Freak Fanatic Lunatic

Okay. Good day to you.

I don't thump my Bible, I read it. I don't preach it, I read it. Then, I cross-reference with the news, and well...there's a lot more credibility there than anywhere else I've seen. That's all. If I had other references, I would use them, but everything is corrupt! If I had a witness, oh if I could just get a witness, Amen?

I'm not much for name-calling. I don't care for condemning. I just am. I'm not fond of labels, so...I won't label you and call you names, and hope you will have the same courtesy toward me. Seems simple enough, but nothing is that easy, huh? Let's just agree to journey together. I'll try to warn you before the cringe-worthy stuff. Fair?

Are You Going to Post Jesus Stuff All the Time?

That is not my plan, but it's possible. Dude, sorry, not sorry. That's just a part of who I am and where I come from. I'm not changing it so I can be labeled as "un-biased". I just don't care. This about me and a message to the masses...let them with an ear to hear, hear it!

Disinformation Agents in the Conspiracy Community

One thing is quite clear to me as I peruse the conspiracy community and leap into various rabbit holes: disinformation, and the agents thereof, is FACT.

I posted an article last night discussing the possible presence of guillotines in America. As I researched for that article, I got to the name, Pam Schuffert, and thus began my dive into a deep rabbit hole. It was basically a large circle jumping from site to site to site trying to figure out who was telling the truth. I saw some names I recognized, and some that were new to me. For the most part, the familiar names were being dragged through the mud by the new ones.

Who Do You Believe?

When it comes down to it, you only believe yourself, and don't expect anyone else to believe you. Do you feel like you have an important and timely message for the masses that involves one of the following concepts (I do not endorse any of these per se):

  • 911 was an inside job
  • The government is corrupt
  • The world is corrupt
  • Queen Elizabeth is an alien reptilian blood-drinker
You may have a message, but you were discredited before you began. If that wasn't enough, you will be discredited via a network of diligent bloggers that will keep any truthseeker, researcher, and/or theorist running in circles all around you.

Strategy for Avoiding Becoming One of Them

Well, if I told you, then "they" would know my strategy and know exactly the path to take to discredit me! I don't really care. "Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world."

I've been thick into reading about various conspiracies since around 2008. This seed was planted in the 90's by people talking about the "black helicopters" and my dad talking about JFK. While I've exercised an intense interest, I have done it alone.

Even my dad isn't interested in talking about this stuff anymore. He's older and probably weary of hoping the world might change for the better. I'm not exactly sure why his interest waned. I do know he spoke out at a meeting once in the early 2000's and was confronted by a "former CIA agent" and asked if he knew there were people who would want to shut him up about what he was saying. I do not remember what he was talking about. I will ask him.

Anyway, I'm off on a tangent. The point I want to make is that I have been pretty much by myself in my interest and study into the conspiracy community. This feeds into my strategy. I've also not written a whole lot about it save for a few forum memberships and a book I published on Amazon for Kindle.

My strategy is fairly a new idea to me. Whereas in the past I have wished for someone to discuss conspiracies with, I do not any longer. I've seen what "networking" does to people and their credibility. Therefore, my words are my own. My ideas are my own. My beliefs are my own

No Name-Dropping

I'm going to do the best I can to not drop too many names either as I write more. That seems to get people into trouble. Since I don't know any of these people personally, who am I to judge them by their words or what others say about them?

My Fairly Significant Weaknesses

I have some which I will not discuss. I am fully aware of them, and this awareness is my crude attempt to protect myself. The conspiracy community is overwrought with weak individuals. I'm not slamming them, but I am genuinely concerned for them. The outer fringe is no place for the mentally ill, but often the only place where they find compassion along with fiery rebuke. It's a classic example of weathering the bad to get the good. At any rate, I am awake, but more than that, I am aware of my vulnerabilities. I'm not worth your fight. I will pull back and relent. The fight is in my words, not my being. Sometimes I forget the uber responsibility that comes with words.

Are Your Truthseeker Heroes Operating in Darkness?

Who do you respect in the conspiracy community? *not dropping names ;-)* Consider this: are they transparent? What do you really know about them? Do you know them personally? Talking on the phone once or emailing doesn't really count. Oh, you've known them a whole year? Still doesn't count. It takes a long time to know someone, and even then, they have their secrets. Remember, trust only yourself...and God.

If your respected leaders are operating under the cover of darkness, then:

"For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” ~ John 3:20-21

Guillotines in the United States

historical guillotine

A Brief Intro

Since this is only my 2nd Post on this blog that is getting close to a couple years old, I wanted to say a few things:
  • I am not an alarmist
  • I am not a conspiracy theorist
  • I am not a fearmonger
  • I am not a stereotypical Christian in any way, shape, or form, but I am a Christ-follower.
I'm a truthseeker who wants to know! I will question everything!

Guillotines in the United States?

Several years ago, I believe it was 2010 if I'm not mistaken, I came across a website or podcast talking about all of the guillotines in the U.S. I can't remember the exact details, because as I do with most "conspiracy theories" and "alternative news", I filed it in the back of my mind. I read a lot and see some crazy things online. If I bought into everything that I read, I would go stark, raving mad.

That initial introduction said that the government had thousands of modern guillotines and the military was being trained on how to use them for unrest during martial law. I figure it was brought on by news that the French had reinstated the guillotine. It was just a museum exhibit, right? Life went on for the next 5 years...until today.

A friend posted this article on her Facebook profile:

Ding, ding, ding! My alarm in the back of my mind alerted me. Of course, while I like, I needed a mainstream site to corroborate the information (not because *I* trust them, but because they MUST confirm or deny everything before the "sleepers' can be expected to believe it). A quick Google search made me wide-eyed:

The Naysayers Say Nay

Shortly after all of the stir online, Snopes released its ruling of False. Snopes used to be the utmost authority on those scammy, spammy emails about the U.K. Lottery, sob stories asking for money, etc. They have basically created a database online of all the crazy things that circulate on the Internet. Personally, I don't trust them. I believe a husband/wife team runs/owns Snopes. I may be wrong. That's for another article. The Irregular Times also reported that the guillotines rumors were nonsense

Stumbled Upon the Original Article (as mentioned in the first paragraph of this post)

As I was conducting research for this article, I found the original article I mentioned in the first paragraph. It's here;

I found it to be convincing when I first saw it, but anyone can write a fake email from an Army Ranger. Notice, they didn't even have to come up with an actual name for this military gentlemen. A little research on the source for the information, Pam Schuffert, brings up a ton of crap on her. Her credibility is shot. I'm not sure if that means she's onto something or if she just really is a bunk source. You know how the powers that be can massacre credibility with extreme ease. That's what makes conspiracy theories so difficult to prove and slaps then with the conspiracy moniker in the first place.

The Plot Thickens

Anytime you jump into the thick of conspiracy theories, you see what a tangled web it is. A Google search for "Pamela Schuffert" brought out the crazies. The 2nd result was website is run by a gal named Sherry Shriner. The best I can tell...yeah, crazy. The I stumble on this other blog talking about Pam. This woman, who I know nothing about, mentions a few names I'm familiar with in her post on Schuffert, but it's all the same tangled web. This is why I have hesitated to fill this blog with content. It's sat here with one article on it for a couple years. The rabbit holes are deep and number in the millions. Ain't nobody got time for that!!!

Well, Are There Guillotines in the United States?

Maybe. I can't confirm as I have not seen any. I don't have any evidence. I wouldn't put it past our government. We are talking about the entity who performed unethical tests on humans. THAT is fact! Before you berate me for my Wikipedia link, I'd like to direct you to the extensive list of resources at the bottom of that article. A search for any kind of image of modern guillotines was fruitless. Sure, there were pictures labeled "modern guillotine", but they looked the same as the historic photos such as the one above.

I did find one article that didn't really mention guillotines, but did mention that the new Healthcare Reform allows coding for beheadings. <-- I dont' know anything about that website though. Deep rabbit hole!

I am Christian. If' you're not cool with that, don't read this part. Simple.

I believe there are forces at work on this planet worse than our minds can imagine. The evil is craftily hidden from us and veiled behind distractions and censoring. I believe this with my whole heart. Those forces, the people that work with and for them, and Earth are damned.

If there are indeed guillotines in America, they are confirmed via prophecy and exist to fulfill that prophecy:

"And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a[a] thousand years." ~ Revelation 20:4 NKJV

God be with you, fellow seekers of the truth.
